Wishbone

What TURKEY breaks their shoulder?
ME!
My doctor said, "It looks like you hit yourself with a hammer."
It certainly feels like it.
Carrot cake - and icing - help the healing.
But it's still hard not to be crabby.
I wanna drive.
I miss my bumper stickered car.
I want my FREEDOM.
I had already planned a party.
It was to be on Magnus's 12 birthday.
Rest his puppy soul.
So I sent out a message through my Evite
and told the ladies the party was still on!
I gave all the ladies a 2022 wall calendar.
And some of them took home a one of a kind piece of art by Irv Moses.
The conversation was great,
the nibbles were delicious
and the fellowship was divine.
I love my friends.
My husband had decorated the house
for Thanksgiving so it looks fabulous.
I gave him the mug I had purchased from a pottery exhibit.
Regardless of good mocha Starbucks coffee,
driving to and from Ohio multiple times is hard.
Especially with a sore broken shoulder.
One trip was to attend a funeral.
The other was to pay for a car restoration.
We saw this building is still existing.
My kids want to convert it into a coffee shop
like the one on the show Friends.
They'd call it
Once Upon a Fantasy.
Pretty cool.
It could happen.
We celebrated a life well lived.
The Eagles sure know how to make a good feast for family.
Buca di Beppo makes a good spread too.
We went to a rugby match and saw our relative playing.
Having the yard taken care of by landscapers
was a real blessing this year!
We went to a Holiday Open House and saw lots of vintage goodies.
Back home it was time to get the spiders
and dust before the holiday guests arrive!
If you know how to read x-rays
you can see
new bone has grown
after 5 weeks of healing.
Hooray!
Does anyone else recognize this scene from
a well known show? That black sheep made me giggle.
I gave this handmade scarf to my daughter inlaw.
I love the artist's company name:
Keepin' Knit Together
I actually got to dog sit over Thanksgiving!
(We were grateful for the extra stove and refrigerator!)
I was grateful my friend and husband could help me
since I wasn't allowed to walk the pup.

We had a surprise ball of wrapped tissue with prizes inside.
What a blessing it was to have our meal catered this year.

Our family went on a Chicago Pizza Tour.
It was epic.
Drinks at the decked halls of the Union League Club
brought the day to a cheery and bright end.
Therapy is HARD.
I am looking forward to having it get easier.
I had some retail therapy
buying this fanny pack from
I bought a Minky blankie.
It's heavenly.
I am ready for winter.
Bring it.
We said goodbye to another dear friend this month.
It's time to deck the halls y'all.
