Grandma perks:
Watching otters swim about at the zoo
with a stroller beside me.
Singing Raffi and lullabies to a tiny tot.
Reading picture books aloud to eyes full of wonder.
But especially - kissing soft, tiny toes!
(Welcome to my great nephew too!)
During my road trip to see my new grandchild
I went off the highway and saw some of America.
I had an amazing week of family, food, and simple pleasures.
I love architecture, murals, and vintage stuff
so Finley Market was full of my favorites.
And the smells! Yum!
Spending time with the grand cats was purrfect too.
Taking a walk around the block was full of surprises.
I listened to some powerful literature this month
and reread a favorite.
There were nibbles galore during my visit.
Bought some swag.
Summer trips to the garden store, convertible drives,
and the occasional gift in the mailbox.
So many sunny memories.
The Cezanne exhibit at the Art Institute was fascinating.
As was the people watching.
Best of all was hanging with my cuz.
Backyard camping the last week of the month
brought s'more fun!
Drives in the country.
Welcoming falling leaves.
What a winner of a month.
Literally!
Here's to hoping your month held some new sights and flavors.
Next month is sure to hold unexpected beauty!
Peace be with you!
